ShadyMattMobilia
Caught on tape. Thrown off the ballot twice. A $2.5 million mansion and a resume that changes parties the way other people change shirts. Now he wants Staten Island to send him to Albany.

Exhibit 01 // The Tape
Mobilia's deceit.Caught on tape.
After a Democratic congressional candidate dropped out of the race for health reasons, Matt Mobilia was caught on tape pushing for that candidate to illegally fake an address change to get off the ballot.

Exhibit 02 // Petitions
The shadiness does not stop there.
Matt's petition deception: thrown off the ballot two times for claiming he collected enough petition signatures when he did not.
In 2024, Matt Mobilia signed that he had the signatures New York State requires. The Clerk's Report: 3,157 submitted. 1,197 valid. 1,500 required. Thrown off.
In 2026, Vincent Argenziano, a senior Mobilia campaign staffer, signed the cover sheet again. A judge ordered Mobilia off the ballot. He did not even show up.
Thrown off twice
See for yourself
If a lawyer will sign a false signature count to get himself on a ballot, what else will he sign once he is in Albany?

2024. Mobilia signs that he has enough signatures. Board of Elections stamp: May 23, 2024.

Exhibit 03 // The Record
The legal screw-ups did not stop with him.
Matt Mobilia prosecuted Timothy Turner, a Staten Island man, for robbery and got him sentenced to 12 years in prison. Turner did not serve those 12 years.
The problem? Someone else admitted to doing it. The conviction was overturned before those 12 years were served.
He still leads with “Prosecutor” on the campaign site. Staten Islanders who actually live with the justice system might want a higher batting average than that.

He says he is a fighter for the middle class.
Do you know any middle-class folks who just bought a $2.5 million mansion?

The house. Paid. $2.5 million. Address withheld.

The job he is running for.

On his mandatory financial disclosure, submitted one month late, Matt claims to have made up to $700,000 in 2025. He is running for a job that pays $142,000 a year.
That is the conflict. Up to $700,000 now. $142,000 if he wins. How does someone take a massive pay cut after buying a $2.5 million mansion. What are his true motives for running?
Seems pretty shady to us.

Exhibit 05 // Party Whiplash
What does this guy believe in other than himself?
Registered Republican in 2007. In 2012 he was a Giuliani Republican who volunteered for Sam Pirozzolo's Assembly campaign, the same person he is running against now for a second time.
Democrat in 2015 when a job opened at the DA's office. Republican again in 2019 for another job, working with the Staten Island Republican Party. Democrat again in 2022. Just to run for office.
Party switches. A half-million-dollar pay cut. Seems pretty shady.
How can he be trusted? He is running for office and using our taxpayer money to boost his business. He wants to repeal bail reform and keep people in jail so he can get more criminal defense work.

Exhibit 06 // The Bill
He wants your church to pay for 911.
In 2015 Mobilia co-wrote a published law-journal article proposing a state law that would make tax-exempt institutions, a group that includes houses of worship, pay for every police, fire and EMS response they receive, and asked: “Is there a lawmaker brave enough to draft the model law we have presented?” (p. 65). Now he wants to be that lawmaker.

Now you decide
Can someone as shady as Matt Mobilia be trusted to represent Staten Island?
Staten Island already answered this once. In 2024, Sam Pirozzolo beat Mobilia 57 to 42. The file is thicker now. November 3, 2026 is the rerun.
